I agree with you. I also have a Pit Boss and I’m not happy with smoke results. I have a wood burning smoker and I should stick with it. Even though it’s more work it worked great. I think I’m going back to it and give my pellet smoker to someone who wants it.

Look at getting a smoke tube, like the AMZN tube from amazon. I throw that sucker on my bit boss every time, light it up with some pellets on it (whatever looks like decent amount to burn for the amount of time I am cooking something), start my pellet grill up and man it gives food a great taste. I did chicken thighs the other night with some salt, pepper, and smoke, and it tasted like bacon after 40 minutes of cook time. Delicious!!!!
Anyways, I am surprised Hickory Traeger pellets is rated as well as they are for being “flavored”. Cannot wait to get a bag of those pellets after seeing rated so well.

I agree with Ken and Lara. I bought a pellet grill but I am not impressed with the smoke flavor. I have had better results using Hickory chunks in a smoker box on my propane grill. I might ditch the pellet grill and get a stick burner.

I have a Camp Chef smoker and used it only once but was surprised how much smoke I got from it. Used the Camp Chef hickory pellets and they worked great. The tri tip roast was awesome and looking forward to trying the competition blend. This weekend it’s baby back pork ribs!
